This is close to the state it was in when i drove it for the first time. It was the week before the Olympics and was yet to have any sort of upholstery. It had windows but that was it. I rammed a 13inch mag between the seat mounts and took it for a blast.I had waited 6 years for this day and noway was i going to wait for something as simple as a seat.It was only a mild tune at 270hp but i still nearly ended up in the back seat when i took off. Was my luck that i left home for 5 mins and when i came back there was a cop parked at the end of my street. He was catching people speeding coming into town so i had to pull over at the gym up the road and do an extra work out for the day
SO smoooth
A Nissan 2litre turbo motor replaces the old donk quite nicely. Didn't have to cut the firewall and the only alteration was to slice a little piece out of the bonnet bracing as it wouldnt quite close. The suspension towers had to be tweaked to lean in 5mils each side to help the camber issue. Dad built the adjustable coilover suspension himself as we couldnt find any that would work with my wheels and lean them over enough.
I was always hating on people that claimed they had a front mounted intercooler so i took it that extra step and externally mounted mine. No charging at possums these days
I removed all the door handles, locks, badges, moldings and also the front bumber. The side marker indicators were moved from down below in front of the wheel and replaced with 2004 Audi A4 clear lense ones.
Thers not much room in the back seats and are basically there for looks and good looking slim girls. There's also no seat belts in the back as the law says cars pre '78 do'nt need them. If you wish to ride in the back, good luck.
All the interior was done by one of dads old hot rod mates down in Rotovegas. I told him what I wanted and when i came home from the Olympics it was so sexual!
As you can tell the car used to be yellow. This is dads custom work in the back seat area.Big piece in the middle had to be altered as the diff kept banging on the floor under boost. The other part is the new seat mounts to hold the rear bucket seats.
392hp at the wheels. I acheived what i set out to do all those years ago..to scare the shit out of myself everytime i drive it
This stage was still way back before the 07 World Champs.I was going to paint it Candy Apple Green but decided to make up my own Green/Gold pearl mix.The wheels were one of the first purchases. The guys from ozzy were humming and harring about selling them to me as they were convinced 18x8.5 inch wheels were too big for a corolla.
